With a suicide rate that continues to be over double that of the road toll, a burnt out, exhausted and undervalued workforce and a severe escalation in occupational violence and agression, it has never been more important for members of parliament to step up and step in and act for you as nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, lived and living experience workers, admin workers, PSAs, health professionals and the consumers, carers and families you support.

Email your local MPs to demand better for Victorian mental health services

Public mental health workers, consumers, carers, their families and Victorian community members are standing united against the Victorian state government's insulting Enterprise Bargaining Agreement offer. The mental health workforce cannot continue to wrangle a broken mental health system.

Please write to your local MPs to outline your concerns with the current EBA offer for the public mental health workforce and demand better. Click 'Email Tips' to help write your letter!

Tips for your email (Workforce):
1. Personalise your email as much as you can and speak to your experiences as a worker who lives and works in the Mps electorate.

2. Say your name, discipline [Nurse, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, Lived Experience Worker, Admin, PSAs etc] and how long you've been in your profession.

3. What the impact of the terrible EBA offer will be on you, your family, your hospital, your consumers, the mental health sector as a whole (Whatever is most important for you). Give some examples of what you

4. Sign off with a punch - that the sector will fall apart, that occupational violence and aggression is out of control, that workers will leave the sector etc - whatever it is for you that is most at risk if this does not get sorted.
